Nashville, otherwise known as Music City, is one of the hottest cities in the country. If you’re celebrating Father’s Day with the dad(s) in your life this summer there are so many awesome activities to enjoy in Nashville and not just music-oriented events!
In honor of Father’s Day, we thought we’d share some fun things to do with dad in Music City on Father’s Day and any day!
Local Ropes Course
Want to get outside with dad and try something a little adventurous that may also help you conquer your fear of heights? Nashville has several ropes courses, including Treetop Adventure Park which is located on the grounds of Nashville Shores. Purchase your tickets online and everyone gets junior pricing! The newest ropes course in the area, The Adventure Park at Nashville, is located West of downtown and is offering grand opening pricing specials.
Looking for some indoor fun that still gets you active, but in air conditioning? Top Golf is Nashville’s new indoor golf venue. Designed for all levels and even non-golfers, it’s a fun way to practice your golf swing. Top Golf’s head chef also took Nashville to heart when developing the menu, visiting Music City one weekend and sampling food at more than a dozen area restaurants to make sure Top Golf Nashville served amazing Nashville-inspired food! Visit their website to reserve a bay (each bay holds up to six players.)
Canoeing and Cruising
Nothing is more relaxing than spending a day on one of Nashville’s many lakes and rivers. The Harpeth River has several canoe rental companies, including Foggy Bottom, Tip-a-Canoe and Canoe Music City. Want something a little less exerting? Blue Heron Cruises offers cruises down the Cumberland River.
All this physical activity can make a dad thirsty. Luckily, Nashville is home to several breweries (and wineries for that matter). Tailgate Beer on Charlotte Pike on the West side is a great place to start as they offer 25 beers on tap and at least one beer from every local brewery. On the East Side, East Nashville Beer Works is open 7 days a week and their beer garden is a dog friendly establishment. Looking for something downtown? Try Rock Bottom Brewery. For a full list of breweries in the Nashville area, check out this helpful guide on Visit Music City.
The Escape Game Nashville is a great indoor activity to do with dad and your entire family! Each room holds up to eight people and you must work together and rely on a variety of clues to escape within 60 minutes. There are several different themes to choose from, including a Nashville-centric theme, which is set in a music studio. Visit their website for more information.
